These are the snapshots taken in Melbourne.
This was where i stayed in Melbourne, near to downtown.
The side view from the apartment overlooking the Swanston Street.

There are still some greens near to downtown, the Carlton Gardens.
The famed Queen Victoria Market which is a century old. The rest of the snapshots taken at the market is shown below as slide shows, courtesy of Photobucket.
A popular site not only for local but tourists too.

Happy New Year
Well, i am back to blogging. Been lazing around but really I was a bit busy getting things done after the vacation. I took a little over 1000 snapshots but i would be publishing them over the next two or three posts but not all as majority are not appropriate. As for the weather in Melbourne, it's rather cool especially in the morning and evening even though it's summer season in Australia. Still need to wear warm clothing too at times. It was said, Melbourne can have 4 seasons in one day!!

Quick relief to runny nose - Part 2 (another way)?
Received a mail from a visitor but who wish to remain anonymous pointed out that there is another way to relief runny nose or nasal congestion by using cold water. The rational behind the theory is that cold water contracts the inflamed, dilated blood vessels in the anterior portion of the nasal cavity and this would reduce inflammation. When the cold water leaves the nose, the inflammatory secretions leave along with the drops of water including most of the allergens and dirt.
Below is the instruction which seems harmless but since i have not tried it, i would not ascertain whether this method works or not nor do i bear any liabilities for any unforeseen mishap!! The remedy also claims that this treatment also brings quick relief to sneezing and sinusitis.
Method
1. Use cold water which has been refrigerated for a few hours. The colder the better.
2. Pour some water into your left palm, holding your hand like a cup.
3. Put your cupped hand to your nose, fingers to the right side, and hold your left nostril closed with your left thumb. This may take some practice.
4. Slowly suck the cold water into your right nostril, letting it go in about 2 inches or 5 cm. If you're very congested, this might burn on the first try. This is normal.
5. Take the nose out of the palm and let the water drip from your nose into a sink or bowl.
6. Use fresh water and repeat steps 2 through 5 again, as each nostril should be treated twice.
7. Pour more water into your left palm, holding your hand like a cup once again.
