Recently I found this site (www.mapmyrun.com) which is helpful as it enables you to map your running route. The features include elevation and distance of the route. All you need to do is to record the time to find out your speed rate. The good point is that you can copy the embedded code and run it on your blog, unlike everytrail.com which has to be done at their site.
There is even an option to view the route in 3D (as shown below) which is much the same as viewing a place of interest with Google Earth in 3D. The PC may need to install Google Earth Plugin Setup to view the 3D. It will prompt you if your PC does not have.
Below is one route I run in the preparation for a Marathon.
The route covers Ara Damsansara and Saujauna enroute Subang Airport Road (aka Lapangan Terbang Subang).
